AFT: Army can't withdraw NOC to personnel on revisional changes
The Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) has made it clear that the Army authorities cannot withdraw the no-objection certificate (NOC) and the discharge proceedings of its personnel on the ground of retrospective unilateral change of the contract of their service, reports Ajay Sura. The AFT principal bench passed these orders while directing the Army to immediately discharge two personnel who were selected for civil employment in their states but it had withdrawn NOC to release them from service citing change in service rules.
