After golden run, Parul's next dream: Joining UP Police as DSP
Parul Chaudhary, a train ticket examiner in Mumbai, made history by becoming the first Indian woman to win the 5000 meters race at the Asian Games. She had narrowly missed winning gold in the last 20 meters but managed to cross the finish line first. Parul wishes to join the Uttar Pradesh police force as a deputy superintendent of police (DSP), as the state government offers the post to athletes who win gold medals in international events. Parul has also secured her berth for the Paris Olympics and plans to improve her timing to win gold again.
