After warm spell, winter chill to set in this week, says Met Lucknow will experience a drop in both day and night temperatures by around two degrees this week, with shallow to moderate fog and cold conditions. The maximum temperature on Sunday was 24.4 degrees Celsius, a degree below normal, while the minimum temperature was 11.1 degrees Celsius. The senior scientist at Lucknow Met centre, Mohammad Danish, predicts that the minimum temperature will fall to around 9 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will be around 22 degrees Celsius. The state weather will be dry with shallow to moderate fog likely at isolated places. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 26.8 degrees Celsius in Agra (Taj), and the night temperature in Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Meerut, and Agra divisions was above normal.
