BJP wins 33 seats in UP council polls, gets majority in House
Barely a month after registering a historical win in UP assembly polls, BJP on Tuesday swept the biennial legislative council elections, winning 33 of the 36 seats and getting a majority for the first time by taking its tally in the 100-member House to 66.
