Candolim resort to pay over Rs 2 crore green damages
The Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has calculated Rs 2 crore as environmental compensation to be paid by a resort in Candolim for illegally building a club no-development zone of CRZ. A writ petition was filed in the matter in the high court, based on which the court had asked the GCZMA to estimate the damages caused by the illegal construction.
