Central edu institutions in region short of teachers
The central government educational institutes in the region of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh are grappling with shortage of teachers as a large number of positions have not been filled. As most of these institutions come under the functional domain of the respective state governments, the Union ministry of education has asked to fill up vacancies on a mission mode. There are close to 800 posts of teachers lying vacant in these institutions.
