Chandigarh: Probe initiated against department for GST evasion of Rs 4 crore
The anti-evasion wing of the Central GST (CGST) commissionerate, Chandigarh, has initiated an inquiry against a government department in the UT after detecting a GST evasion of more than Rs 4 crore. Tax compliance by other government entities is also under the scanner and notices have been issued to those not following the tax provisions. In the coming days, more tax recoveries are expected.
