Sikh intellectuals from Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi have urged Akal Takht acting jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh to ask Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal to step down from party leadership and convene a meeting to appoint a new chief of the party after dissolving all the splinter factions of Akalis.
