Dengue hits Aliganj worst, 136 positive
Around 38% of the dengue cases in the past month in Lucknow have been reported from areas under the Aliganj and Chandernagar community health care centres. In total, 652 cases have been reported, with Aliganj CHC having the highest number of cases. Reasons for the spike include vacant plots, terrace gardens, accumulated water in trays behind refrigerators and coolers, and stagnant water in discarded items. The newly developed areas of Chandernagar, Aliganj, and Indiranagar are particularly affected, with residents not cooperating with health officials during surveys.
