E-touts keep RPF on toes despite 1.7k special trains, 26L extra berths
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has been facing challenges from e-touts during the festive season, despite the operation of special trains and the availability of additional berths. The Central Railway has warned travelers to purchase legal tickets from authorized outlets only. The RPF has registered cases against e-touts and arrested 317 individuals this year. They are also working with IT experts and skill development centers to conduct surveillance and catch e-touts. Passengers are reminded that tickets booked by touts can be blocked, leading to financial losses.
