Ensuring safety: Loco-pilots' work hour capped by railway boar 
The Railway Board had instructed all zones to ensure that the continuous duty for locomotive pilots did not exceed 11 hours from 'sign on' to 'sign off'. While the usual limit was nine hours, in exceptional cases, pilots could be required to extend up to a maximum of 12 hours if they were within an hour of their destination.
