Fire ravages commercial towers in Kanpur
At least 800 shops of readymade garments were gutted in a massive fire that broke out in a multi-storey commercial building and quickly spread to adjacent towers in Anwarganj area of Kanpur on early Friday causing a damage of over Rs 700 crore. The fire apparatently broke out due to a short circuit following a strong duststorm. One person sleeping on the roof of a tower was untraceable.
