Gang offers 'free chicken' to get people's Aadhaar details
Police in Shamli have busted a gang of three men in their early 20s, who devised an elaborate ploy to dupe e-retail giant Amazon of nearly Rs 14 lakh. The accused allegedly collected details of people's Aadhaar cards and PAN cards by luring them with a kg of "free chicken". Using this information, they created fake accounts on the shopping giant's website and purchased mid-priced items, only to return low-cost imitations and receive refunds.
