Goa: 39 of 40 new MLAs crorepatis, one-third face serious charges
The number of MLAs accused of breaking the law continues to rise in Goa, with one-third of the state’s legislative assembly members having serious criminal charges, data released by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) shows. The data also shows that along with muscle power, the elected MLAs have money power on their side, with 39 of the 40 MLAs being crorepatis.c
