Goa govt initiates process to take over 88 mining leases
After taking a decision to auction all mining leases, the state government on Thursday initiated the process to take over 88 mining leases from lessees whose second renewal was quashed by the Supreme Court in February 2018. The directorate of mines and geology has issued notice to all 88 mining companies to vacate the leases within a month.
