Goa: Regularisation after fines will boost land violations, say activists
The recently notified Goa Town and Country Planning (Composition of Offences) Rules, 2022, which seek to impose heavy fines on unauthorised land-filling and hill-cutting activities, have been red-flagged by activists. They alleged that the rules will grant post-facto regularisation of illegalities on mere payment of fees.
