Hry home minister Vij says no to Ashok Khemka prosecution sanction
In a significant development in the ongoing controversy related to alleged irregularities in the appointments made in Haryana State Warehousing Corporation (HSWC), home minister Anil Vij has recommended that sanction should not be granted to prosecute senior IAS officer Ashok Khemka in the case. In his recommendation, Vij has observed that FIR No 170 (registered against Khemka) should not have been registered and has mainly emphasized that no case is made out against Khemka in absence of prior sanction under Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
