In 2021, child workers rescued in Punjab highest among 18 states
Out of the 18 states where the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) conducted raids along with various local authorities, the highest number of 4,867 child labourers were rescued and rehabilitated in Punjab in 2021-22 under the National Child Labour Project (NCLP).
