Maharashtra: Swine flu in cities, scrub typhus in rural Vidarbha
An unusually long rainy season is synonymous with increased cases of malaria in rural areas and dengue in urban. But this year is different. In urban Vidarbha, dengue is well under control and malaria is nearly missing. Swine flu has replaced dengue in urban Vidarbha while the scrub typhus has replaced malaria in rural Vidarbha as per the observation of doctors.
