Outstanding dues of discoms in Pb 5th highest in country
The current outstanding dues with power distribution companies (discoms) in Punjab amount to Rs 2,152 crore, as on June 30, putting it at fifth position in the list of states which have highest dues with power discoms. The outstanding dues with discoms in the neighbouring states of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh are Rs 394 crore and Rs 91 crore respectively, while UT Chandigarh owes Rs 19 crore.
