Punjab assembly passes bill for single pension to MLAs
Amid heated arguments between Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann and leader of opposition Partap Singh Bajwa, the Punjab assembly on Thursday passed the Punjab State Legislature Members (Pension and Medical Facilities Regulation), Amendment Bill, 2022, paving the way for a single pension of Rs 75,150 per month to each MLA irrespective of the terms for which he or she gets elected.
