Punjab: CM Mann's 'aide' is AAP's choice for Sangrur bypoll
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday announced the name of Gurmail Singh, 38, of Gharachon village in Sangrur district - considered Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann's go-to man in Sangrur - as the party candidate for Sangrur Lok Sabha byelection. The seat fell vacant following the resignation of Mann after he became the Punjab CM. Mann announced Gurmail's candidature from his Twitter handle.
