Punjab reported highest 225 custodial death cases in region in past 2 years
Punjab registered the highest number of 225 custodial death cases in the region in the past two years. These deaths include deaths both in police custody as well as in judicial custody. While 72 custodial deaths were recorded in the year 2020-21, it rose to 153 in 2021-22.
