Region accounts for 21% of illicit liquor deaths in India
The region comprising Punjab, Haryana and Himachal accounts for over 21% of the deaths due to consumption of spurious liquor in the country and over 12% of the nationwide drug overdose deaths, according to the data compiled by the National Crime Records Bureau in its report ‘Accidental
