Starting from Malwa, field fires hit new max in Punjab
Punjab's 436 cases of paddy stubble burning on Wednesday were highest of the harvesting season, taking its tally to 2,625, as Malwa starts its blazes. In just five days, the state has recorded 1,556 field fires, which is more than 59% of the 34-day count. The last maximum was 403 on Monday. Except Pathankot, all other 22 districts recorded stubble burning.
