The play is the thing: Theatre in the times of corona
While visiting Nagpur’s Most Eminent (ME) theatre personality, I was surprised to note a rather sombre expression on his normally cheerful visage. Upon inquiry he revealed that he had just received a call of plea from one of his associates in Mumbai – a stage technician – who has now fallen upon such desperate times that he was forced to literally beg from others for his survival.
