Tippers stone-pelted to stop illegal mining
The villagers from Bhalaan in Nangal area of Ropar district, who were sitting on a protest since November 8 against alleged illegal mining in their area, pelted tipper trucks and mining machinery with stones on Thursday to stop the digging up of seasonal Swan rivulet.
