Trade union body calls for general strike in Goa on March 28, 29
The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) has called for a general strike on March 28 and 29 to protest “faulty policies of the government” including unchecked price rise of food items of mass consumption, petrol, diesel, LPG cylinders, rising unemployment, increasing poverty and rampant violation of labour laws and government’s failure to provide social security to unorganised labour.
