Trauma centre plans to add 500 beds & diagnosis wing
The King George’s Medical University’s (KGMU) trauma centre plans to add 500 beds and a dedicated diagnosis wing to strengthen emergency medical care. Detailed project reports have been submitted for approval, and the final decision on funding will be made by the cabinet. The proposed expansion will increase the trauma centre's capacity to an impressive 650 beds. Additionally, a five-storey building will be constructed to accommodate immediate needs, including a 24x7 diagnostic facility and facilities for attendants and cooking. This development marks a positive step forward for healthcare in the region.
