UP: Mukhtar Ansari’s aide, former engineer held
Sleuths of the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of UP Police have arrested Shabi Haider, an aide of don turned politician Mukhtar Ansari, along with a retired executive engineer of PWD Jitendra Kumar, who was absconding since three years, for siphoning off Rs 7 crore. They were arrested from Aashiana in Lucknow on Wednesday.
