Uttarakhand lost over 3,000 ha to forest fires in March-April
In March and April this year, part of the first half the forest fire season (which lasts from mid-Feb to mid-June in Uttarakhand), Uttarakhand lost a staggering 3031.04 ha hectares of forest land to 1,890 wildfires, causing a loss of Rs 79.
