With Rs 170 crore in kitty, Goa aims for water security in urban areas
In a bid to ensure “water security” for Goa’s urban pockets, the state has decided to appoint a consultant to ensure universal piped water supply, sewerage network, rejuvenation of water bodies and treatment of polluted water bodies in the state. With Rs 170 crore earmarked for the project as part of AMRUT 2.0, the Goa state urban development agency (GSUDA) hopes to utilise the funds to end the state’s water woes.
