1,428 people electrocuted last year in Uttar Pradesh: Directorate of electrical safety
On an average four people were electrocuted daily, including UP power corporation limited (UPPCL) staff, in 2022-23 due to negligence in safety procedures while restoring power supply, poor maintenance of power assets, defective tools, accidental contact with live electric wire and various other reasons.
