After 2-year Covid gap, Madgaonkars keep colourful, spirited tryst with their ‘Dambab’
Held after a gap of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual “Gulalotsav” of Zambaulim, held on Tuesday, saw a display of traditional fervour and gaiety. Madgaonkars kept their tryst with their patron deity Lord Damodar, or Dambab as the deity is reverentially known, as they flocked to Zambaulim, 25km away from the state’s commercial capital, to celebrate ‘gulal’.
