Minor girl accuses parents of selling her for ₹20 lakh
A minor girl in Bhilwara has accused her parents of attempting to sell her for Rs 20 lakh. The girl, who had previously escaped a similar situation, appealed to the police for protection and expressed her desire to marry. The police have refuted the allegations and presented the girl before the child welfare committee. Last year, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) issued a notice to the Rajasthan police chief regarding reports of women being sold in the state.
